Indus Welfare Association (IWA) is a not-for-profit organization registered under Social Voluntary 1961 Act, came into being on January 15, 2001.
Established in 2002 by Indus Welfare Association, our academy is dedicated to providing standard quality education to students in rural areas.

Indus Educational Academy
Established in 2002 by Indus Welfare Association. The prime objective is to provide standard quality education to students in rural areas and build their capacity to face the challenges of the modern world. Present enrollment including both boys and girls exceeds 1,100, with an education staff of 26 teachers, a vice principal and a principal.

Indus Computer Centre
Computer training for local females—no centre within 20 km of UC Kurkuli. IT Skills Certificate Course (3 months) runs 4 times a year; 80 females benefit annually.

Flood Relief Activities
IWA worked in vulnerable areas of District Sanghar with IOM, providing Non Food Items (NFI) to flood victims in various villages.

Self Help Biological Sand Filter
Bio-sand filters for 100 families. Sand layers remove sediments and host microbes that remove harmful bacteria. Built with local materials, easy to use and maintain. 743 direct beneficiaries.

Community Physical Infrastructure
25 community latrines, improved pavements and sanitation in villages, and two Village Community Centers. 1,560 total direct beneficiaries.
